Thirty years of design. One consistent belief:
The work should always serve the mission.

I'm Shari Fournier-O'Leary — a graphic designer and art director based in the Los Angeles area, specializing in visual identity and communications for cultural institutions, nonprofits, and publications.

My career began in print, which means I learned design the hard way: with craft, intention, and no room for shortcuts. Over three decades, that foundation has grown to include digital branding, publication design, campaign materials, and the full range of communications that institutions like yours need to connect with donors, members, audiences, and the public.

My clients tend to be organizations with high standards and real missions — places like LA Opera, The Huntington Gardens, Pomona College, and the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. They come to me not just for great-looking work, but because they want a designer who listens, who understands institutional culture, and who can be trusted to get it right. Many of them have worked with me for years, even decades. That continuity matters to me.

I work collaboratively and closely. I stay current with the tools and technologies shaping our field, which means I bring both the experience to ask the right questions and the agility to explore new possibilities efficiently.

If you're a museum, cultural center, independent school, library, or publication looking for a design partner who will invest in understanding your world — I'd love to hear about what you're working on.
